About my Practice
As an individual therapist, I work alongside youth and young adults to navigate anxiety, depression, body image, and neurodivergent identities. I also support clients through life transitions, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and inner healing. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in creating a space where you feel safe to explore, reflect and grow.
Areas of Focus
I primarily work with youth and young adults, including many who are self or formally identified as ADHD and/or autistic. My clinical focus centers on navigating the intersection of neurodivergence with:
Anxiety and depression
Interpersonal relationships
School, academic, and early career stressors
Body image and relationship with food
Identity and self-concept
Familial and cultural expectations and demands
I also support clients in gently challenging stigma and re-examining assumptions around neurodiversity and mental health, particularly within Asian communities.
Together, we will work to strengthen self-insight, identify your existing strengths, and develop practical, personalized strategies to support your well-being and help you thrive.
My Approach
In our sessions, we will gently and curiously explore your experiences and how they have shaped your beliefs about yourself and you relate to the world today. I offer a warm, kind, and non-judgemental environment where you can feel safe to show up as you are. I am naturally curious and genuinely interested in getting to know you, your experiences, your strengths, and the things that uniquely bring you joy and comfort.
Through a responsive and individualized approach to self-exploration, I will support you in building confidence and self-compassion, honouring who you are in the present while developing tools to navigate future challenges.
My work is integrative and tailored to your unique needs and goals, primarily drawing on elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for Anxiety, alongside a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens.
My style is well-suited for many youth and young adult clients who value connection, encouragement, and moments of ease as part of meaningful exploration and growth.
Identity & Values
As a first-generation immigrant settler, I am deeply committed to offering a compassionate and culturally responsive space. I recognize that each person brings intersecting identities and values, a unique story, and specific needs for communication and well-being. My practice centers these experiences with the aim of creating a space where you feel seen, validated, and supported as you are.
Outside of my role in this practice, I have over six years of experience in mental health social work roles, supporting diverse populations across the lifespan experiencing complex mental health challenges, including eating disorders and psychosis requiring a team-based level of support.
